Having an awesome time?

Aaron from flickr gave a presentation about The API as curator today at the theoretical framework session of MW2008. Here's a crude little repro done by me in awesome Windows Paint of his graph describing how websites can increase in quality over time. The idea is by making little increments of innovation at a time, over a long time the project increases in awesomeness. It felt like a life lesson more than just a statement about web projects - push the envelope a bit every time, do things one step at a time, and you'll increase in your awesomeness too.

Today's Horoscope on The Star

Gemini (May 21 — June 21)

What you want now is to see a physical, material, measurable change in a situation. You are tired of adapting yourself, psychologically, to a situation in which when all is said and done, you are just not comfortable. With this realization in mind you will get what you need.

It basically sums up my entire graduate career. Horoscopes have never been so profound.

A new record

April 7, 2007. Tonight(today) I'm sleeping at 6am - it's a new late in terms of Jen's all-nighters. I'm super tired, but I just felt an urge that this needs to be documented. Ha, I think the blogger in me is coming back.

The return of the blog quiz!!

You are Dark Chocolate

You live your life with intensity, always going full force.
You push yourself (and others) to the limit... you want more than you can handle.
An extreme person, you challenge and inspire the world!

Flowers and Fa

Today I passed by the florist at Harbord when I was heading home. For one moment I just couldn't resist those buckets and buckets of colourful tulips, so I ended up taking a pretty pink bunch home. I don't have a vase, so I put them in a huge glass instead. They are so pretty that they make me smile every time when I see them, despite all the school work piling over me. Ah, I still love flowers.

I just realised that my blog has just made it past the 500th entry mark! It's been an on-and-off relationship, but 500 posts, I'm feeling a little proud of it!

Life Lesson at 2:39am

Being too creative is no good when you are responsible for making things happen. It can directly cause excessive overnighters.
